A new CS:GO tournament organised by Play2Live has been announced, and while that in itself isn't particularly earth-shattering news, the fact that it's got a prize equating to $100,000 in a cryptocurrency called Level Up Coins is certainly noteworthy.

As far as we know it's the first meaningful tournament prize of its kind, and there'll be eight teams competing for the cryptocurrency jackpot at the Falcon Club in Minsk, Belarus, on February 25. Seven teams are being invited to compete, while the eighth will earn their place and a shot at the prize by taking part in an open qualifier. The question is, will this be the first tournament prize of its kind, or will most major teams prefer to compete for cash?
